LYNDA WRITES:

I have been angry to the point of rage for many years.  As I grew older, the rage when it hit would be so consuming as to leave me in exhaustion and shame over what I had done.  The people I hurt most were those I loved.  I had tried self help books....waste.  I tried therapy once.... an even bigger waste as fooling them is so easy.

I had given up literally.  Then my chiropractor Gordon Greener who I had known for seven years suggested Intrinsic Assessment.  Well I thought about it a bit.  Put it aside for later and forgot about it.  Then one day while waiting in the outer office to see him I over heard someone talking on the phone about Intrinsic Assessment and all the good it was doing her.  I remembered that day to pick up further literature that was in the office about the prices and sessions.  After reading through the material I got excited.  Could this actually help?

I called and left a message with Valerie Jo that night.  When she called me back later we ended up talking for close to 45 minutes just getting to know each other a bit.  She suggested the Body Harmony sessions to start with to get comfortable with each other.  Now I know there are people who wouldn't care or feel the need for Body Harmony right off.  But I say if you have stress in your life go to a Body Harmony session it is so very good for you physically I can't describe it.  When I walk out it's like being able to feel again!  We build up so much stress at work that to me it felt like a wall around me. Trying to protect myself from feeling.

Suddenly the smiles and feelings of happiness return and are genuine.  After two sessions of Body Harmony I decided to try the Intrinsic Assessment sessions.  The process to start is very different.  I was given a workbook of questions to answer.  Homework you might say and vital for the groundwork of guiding where our sessions would lead.  In the very first session something came up that was a prime reason of my rage.

Then came the process of working out how I had gotten to that point.  It's a learning experience where you look back to the 'Why's that have shaped your interaction with people.

I'm on my way to healing, thanks to Valerie Jo who has placed my feet on the path to self discovery.

Thanks Val

Lynda

MARY WRITES:

I just wanted to thank you again for your wonderful Body Harmony session the other day.  I’ve never experienced anything quite like it.  It was what I might imagine a “rebirthing” process might be like, as I felt safe, nurtured, cleansed, and cherished as a fellow human being.

You know, I was 40 before I received my first massage. I was so nervous since I didn’t know what to expect.  It was a good therapeutic massage, I guess, but in retrospect, it didn’t have that focused connection that I believe is so vital to what I want to achieve in my work, and what I feel so strongly in yours. To be a detached, non-judgmental, catalyst to put people in touch with their potential for health and happiness.

I’ve been in nursing for more than half my life and feel that the Massage Therapy I’m doing now is my life’s work.  That all I’ve done before this has been necessary to bring me to this point.  I’m so thankful to be here, and to share a common thread with folks such as yourself and Dr. Greener.

What Body Harmony session is like:

A connection on several different planes; physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual, that keeps us in touch with ourselves so that we may be all that we can be.

Not a goal to be achieved, but a journey to be shared.

Understanding importance of human touch.  Without it, babies fail to thrive.

In today’s exploitation of sexual touch, it’s a nice buffer to provide safe, therapeutic touch which requires no response or expectations; only acceptance of the healing aspects of the touch of another human being who cares.

LINDA WRITES:

I can not begin to find the words to tell you how wonderful I feel since coming to you for my Body Harmony sessions.  This experience is not like anything I have ever had, and I have been trying to put words to it, but all I can say is that I feel so nurtured and special every time I leave from having my session. This whole way of learning how to relax and manage stress is truly a life changing experience.  Thank you so much for making this available to us.  I do hope more people hear about what you are making available so that they can experience what I have.

Blessings and thank you again Valerie,

Linda

HEATHER WRITES:

I loved body harmony sessions so much I became a body harmony practitioner!! I have always had a monthly therapeutic message because of the healthfulness of it. (Toxin release especially) so, when I had a chiropractic session with Dr Greener (who is the best by the way) he took me on a tour of the body harmony room and immediately I was drawn in!  You talk about relaxing. The walls look like salt, and the table he invented allows the music to penetrate your body at cell level WOW! So, I signed up for 4 sessions, 1 a week after Valerie explained how the body really responds and heals with 4 sessions. I arrived at the first session not really knowing what to expect and let’s say I was not sad that I had signed up for 3 more!  The melted shea butter combined with the salt is the most invigorating, yet relaxing thing I have ever experienced.  I was addicted, literally.  Valerie explained to me that the endorphin release during a session really is addictive.  Its nature’s drug. The same rush that people get when they run miles a day but I was feeling the same thing laying on a table being messaged and nurtured!

One of the rules during a body harmony session is that you have to completely relax.  You can’t even lift a finger.  I thought it was great to be given permission to just go to a happy place and completely relax.  The other rule is that you can’t talk. Although that one was hard, I realized that it allowed me to be completely at peace “in the zone”.   What I have learned is that body harmony has changed my life in many different areas.  The relaxation has flowed over into my life, and for a type A personality that really means a lot.  My skin is soft and smooth; I no longer have a problem with water weight gain all the toxins have been flushed out. (Of course I still have a monthly session)

So, after about 6 or 7 sessions I realized how great it would be to be able to help other people’s lives change.  And now, I am practicing with Valerie and Dr. Greener... and I couldn’t imagine enjoying anything more!

February 6, 2009

Today I did something I’ve never done before.  I got my body in harmony with the earth, with Adam and Eve time. God created music, and there was music in my room.  He created warmth, and there was warmth on my body.  He created healthy minerals, and my body was being nourished from head to toe from the most abundant source on earth.  Today I experienced the Greener Body Harmony.

First, Dr. Greener put my body back into alignment with absolutely no pain.  He then handed me over to his lovely wife Valerie.  After a few moments of getting to know me, my likes and dislikes, and explaining this session I was about to get, she took me to my room and soon the magic began.

I am a 50 year old, 198 pound woman who does not relax easily.  I can never find my “Happy Place”.  That seems to take too much concentration.  What I did find was a deep, relaxing enjoyment of lying on the most comfortable bed with music surrounding me, even peacefully coming through my bed and passing through me.  I felt the warm Shea Butter being poured on my legs, arms, back and even drizzled on my scalp.  I enjoyed soothing hands massaging it into my skin in a way that was, surprisingly, noninvasive to my privacy and, therefore, not embarrassing to me whatsoever; my 198 pound, 50 year old body, and sagging everything was not an issue. I lazily enjoyed the pampering warmth.

Next, came the nutrition my skin had been craving for years; the Dead Sea salts.  By now, Valerie was basically nonexistent to me; as if she wasn’t in the room. It was just the music, the warmth, and the rich feeling of my skin beginning the rejuvenating process.

To write of the complete Body Harmony session I had today would take too long to read.  Suffice to say, I now have a standing appointment with both Dr. Greener and Valerie.  It’s the “Harmonious” thing to do!

MY BODY HARMONY SESSION
by Lois Wyatt

Warm and safe, That's how you feel,
When you are touched by hands that heal.
Hands that are filled with a mothers love,
Gentle hands that are filled with God's Spirit from above.
Love is that key that opens the door,
To heal your soul and so much more.
For love is the answer to all of our ill,
God's love and God's Spirit in hands that heal.

I’ve had 2 Body Harmony sessions in the past 18 months. The first time was very foreign to me. I’m a hyper person who finds it hard to relax and being Valerie’s friend, I was focused on my visit with her, rather than the experience. I also paid little attention in the pre-session interview and simply couldn’t wait  to try it.  Once it started, I then got too busy trying to guess what was happening next while lying on that table getting the oil and salt rubbed onto my skin. I do distinctly remember the residual feeling of bliss hours after it ended and appreciating an experience that was indeed, quite unique.

This most recent time I took her advice and pretended I was simply her client, period. With a memory now in place from the time before and being reminded to focus on going to my emotional “happy place”, I can honestly say the experience was out of this world!

The music’s sound from the table practically took me out of the body.  Those pulsating undercurrent rhythms set the tempo to her skilled hands of artistic application that launched my soul.  The session had me being nursed, catered-to and mothered at the same time. Then when all of those hot towels were peeled off my body, it felt like a shroud was being lifted, exposing the resurrected me with fresh new skin and an attitude that matched. I can’t put my finger on one single element that gave such euphoria... it truly is a symphony of pleasure for the senses!

Debra Writes:

Dear Valerie,

Body Harmony is the best thing I have ever done for myself.  From the first treatment to the present I have enjoyed every aspect of the service....The drizzle of the hot shay butter is a big favorite, and the bed is wonderful with its comfort and the vibrations from the music, it alone can take you away to a very happy place. Then there is the touch of the firm and care giving hands administering the massage, and sea salt scrub, and being wrapped in the warmth of the hot towels, all this combined with the smells and sounds in the room can and has brought about such a release of body, mind, and soul for me, I think everybody should have this experience, if only for the exfoliation and absorption of minerals into the skin. It is just an overall very good healthy feeling, and I love it.....

Thank you
